Fulford’s allotments are owned and run by the Parish Council. They are located off Fordlands Road, next to Fulford Cemetery.
Allotments and leisure gardens give people a great deal of pleasure, satisfaction, hours of peace and quiet and promote a healthy lifestyle. They provide the opportunity to meet different people, exchange ideas and learn from the more experienced and it is not just growing vegetables; many people grow cut flowers for example.
The Parish Council recognise the importance of the allotments to our community and we are working hard with our tenants to meet their needs. Councillors meet biannually with allotment holders at the Social Hall every March and October and the Parish Council allocates a budget each year to the allotments to help run the site.
It is evident from our meetings with that there is a strong community spirit on Fulford Allotments and long may it continue.
